A lot of effort has been put into shortening all signal paths, creating a preamp with superb musical abilities that rivals the competition that is more than double the price. To find a truly balanced design with remote control and, with this quality, at this price, has not been possible until now.
The new preamp, Idun, which replaces the former S2, is, as all Bladelius designs fully balanced, dynamic, detailed and gives a presentation of music true to life.
Seven analogue input pairs are provided for use with 2 balanced (XLR) and 5 single-ended (RCA) sources. One pair of balanced and one pair of unbalanced and pre-amp outputs allows for connection to any external power amplifier.

The NAC 152 XS features an additional output in addition to the Naim standard DINs. This stereo output on two RCA sockets, is optimised for connection to an active subwoofer, supports the growing use of 2.1 systems. Its rear panel layout is similar to the NAC 202 and hence is Fraim friendly. The NAC 152 XS can be powered from the preamp power outputs of the NAP 155 XS or NAP 200 or can be upgraded by powering it from either a FlatCap XS or HiCap power supply. One of the DIN inputs can supply power to a Naim StageLine outboard phono stage.
The Naim NAC 202 combines first-class sound quality with flexibility, style and excellent value. Significant improvements in technology led to an entirely new range using new high quality star-earthed circuit boards, combining the classic Naim values of musicality and power with flexibility and value. The Naim NAC 202 may either be powered by a NAP 155 XS or NAP 200 amplifier or significantly upgraded by adding Naim power supplies to independently feed the analogue audio and digital control circuits.
