The Mimesis 22 History provides an unequaled performance in terms of clarity and accuracy achieved by multiplying the paralleling of single class A single-ended stages and by using a newly designed separate power supply that guarantees a much improved heat dispersion. A voltage selector for 110 or 115, 220 or 230 allows a much higher precision and its AC curator technology ensures exceptionally smooth, clean power is delivered to the circuit boards through several successive stages of regulation. Additional precision in the gain selection is also provided by its digital volume control. The Mimesis 22H offers 7 inputs and 2 analog tape loops. It allows choosing between balanced and unbalanced connections. On this point, the particularity of its balanced mode is that the audio signal is kept fully balanced all the way through the preamplifier path. It is however important to know that the ultra low noise technology developed by Goldmund allows the use of its analog preamplifiers in unbalanced mode with a noise rejection level that is even better than in balanced mode. The preamplifier safety features include automatic switching to “Muting” if the AC line drops or is interrupted and automatic protection against tape loops. Finally, the refinement of the materials used in the construction of the Mimesis 22H, along with the precision of its assembly do not only provide the incomparable luxurious look Goldmund is famous for, they also subtly reveal the use of the most extreme mechanical grounding technology that participates to the ultimate performance of this preamplifier. Notes: Goldmund recommends using it along with the Mimesis 20H D/A converter and amplifiers of the Telos line. For Goldmund customers who own a Mimesis 22S, an upgrade kit with the newly designed power supply is currently available.
